Budding Bakers JR. is a fun and intensive full-day baking camp for those pastry chefs-to-be who show a particular interest and passion for the pastry arts.

This week is inspired by all areas of the pastry arts. This includes savoury baking, bread making, cake baking & decorating, pastry preparation, custards and even candy work! Through exploring these themes and working through 15+ recipes over the course of the week, our campers will learn the theory, as well as, the practical training needed to execute these temperamental tastes.

Although the suggested age for this course is 6-11, the curriculum is well-suited for campers up to age 14. If your teen is a beginner in the pastry arts, then Budding Bakers JR. would make a great prerequisite for our Perfecting Pastries session.

Here at Rooks to Cooks, we believe food is meant to be shared. As such, each day your pastry-chef-in-the-making will bring home portions of their daily creations to share with you and your family, ensuring this week is a treat for all!

We hope your child can join us for the sweetest week we offer!

Due to the nature of this program, lunch will not be included. Please be sure to send your child with daily lunches and snacks to keep them energized throughout the day. As this is a shortened week, we will not be hosting a pop up restaurant on Friday but will still end the week off with a graduation ceremony!
