Learn from experienced and passionate chefs as you prepare impressive creations AND build lasting relationships with your team from the comfort of your own home.

Our corporate classes range from 1 to 2 hours depending on the menu. Each class will begin with introductions and an opportunity for your team leader to say a few words before the cooking begins. From there your chef takes over, guiding your team through your recipe of choice, using various live demonstrations and sharing their trade secrets at every opportunity. Each class also includes 1 hour of self guided open zoom time post cooking to allow for your team to catch up on life and build relationships while enjoying your tasty creations. 

CLASS STRUCTURE 

  • All classes are conducted LIVE on Zoom  
  • Rooks to Cooks with provide a digital program package inclusive of a consolidated shopping list, recipes, equipment needs and set up instructions. 
  • On the day of your event, 1 – 2 experienced and passionate chefs will lead the group through the recipe of choice. 
  • Participants will learn new skills, recipes and knowledge as they slice and dice their way through the chosen menu. 
  • The class includes 1 hour of self-guided zoom time, post class, to allow for your team to socialize as your eat your finished products!

HUNGRY TO LEARN

Our hungry to learn class structure is perfect for a group who’s looking to learn new culinary techniques, new recipes and bond with one another through the process. This class format resembles a more formal learning environment where chefs will spend more time and attention teaching your group proper culinary techniques and super interesting culinary facts. The skills taught and theory shared are catered to the dish of choice of course, lending well to progressive courses as well! Through various demonstrations and mini theory discussions, this corporate class is your team’s recipe for success!

NAILED IT CHALLENGE

Inspired by the popular Netflix show “Nailed It” this class structure is meant to infuse a little friendly competition in your corporate class structure. The goal of the class is to execute and plate your dish as per the chefs demonstration. The participant who presents a dish closest to the chef’s in both appearance and execution will be crowned the Nailed It champion of your group and win bragging rights for all of eternity. R2C Gift certificates are available for teams who want to up the ante with prizes.

Homemade Pizza with Caesar Salad

Duration: 2 Hours

Cost:

In our pizza class, participants will learn all the tricks of the trade when preparing their own Neapolitan style pizzas and side caesar salads completely from scratch. Simple, educational and delicious, you can’t go wrong with our pizza class!

Fresh Pasta from Scratch

Duration: 1.5 – 2 Hours

Get your team building class rocking and rolling with our fresh pasta class! In this class participants will learn the foundations of fresh pasta making as they prepare their own batches of fresh pasta, sauce and salad for select menus to devour!

This class yeilds 4 dinner sized portions of fresh pasta 

Sushi with Miso Soup

Duration: 2 Hours

Cost: 

  • $350.00 plus tax for 1 chef instructor (recommended for under 12 participants)
  • $425.00 plus tax for 2 chef instructors (recommended for 12+ participants)

Through step-by-step instruction and guided practice, participants will learn how to prepare their own customized maki creations. First, your chef instructors will teach the group the ancient art of sushi rice preparation. While their rice is cooking, participants will learn and then practice their knife skills through prepping the filling options. As the rice cools, participants will prepare their miso soup or spicy aioli completely from scratch. Lastly, using bamboo sushi mats, the group will roll and shape their own maki.

Tacos with Fresh Tortillas

Duration: 2 Hours

In our taco class, participants will learn all the tricks of the trade when it comes to preparing tacos! First, your chef will guide the group on how to prepare fresh flour tortillas, completely from scratch, From there, you will cook your way through the filling and garnishes before digging in virtually along with your team members. 

Recipes featured: 

-Fresh tortillas 

-Our signature sweet chilli shrimp filling 

-Cabbage lime slaw 

-Guacamole 

This class yields 4 servings of tacos and garnishes 

Dumplings with Sweet Soy Glaze

Duration: 2 Hours

In our dumplings class, participants will learn how to prepare fresh and delicious dumplings, completely from scratch! First, your chef will guide the group on how to prepare the dumpling dough. While it's resting, you and your colleagues will prepare your filling and glaze. Next it's time to roll, fill and assemble your dumplings, before cooking them up and digging in!

This class yields 20 - 25 dumplings with sweet soy glaze 

Delectable Dinners

Duration: 1.5 - 2 Hours

Is your team hungry for fun!? Our Delectable Dinners class, is sure to satisfy. In this class participants will acquire new culinary knowledge and skills while they prepare the innovative and delicious Dinner menu of choice. Vegan, gluten-free and nut-free substations are offered for all menu options below, permitting all members of your team to participate no matter their dietary restrictions. Following the class, participants will get to sit down, eat and ogle over their delicious creations as you socialize and catch up.

-Chicken or Chickpea Shawarma Wraps with Zesty Yogurt Sauce and A Side Lemon Salad 

-Jerk Fish with Rice, Caramelized Mangos and Cabbage Slaw (GF)

Homemade Eclairs

Duration: 2 Hours

There is nothing better in this world than a freshly baked eclair. The crisp and buttery choux paste shell, the sweet and fluffy cream, and last, the rich and beautifully shiny chocolate glaze! Under the guidance and direction of our passionate and experienced chefs, you and your team will learn to make, bake, fill and glaze your very own batch of fresh eclairs from the comfort of your own home. The recipes featured are our Signature pate au choux, vanilla chantilly cream, and chocolate glaze. You won’t want to miss this technical and tasty workshop. 

This workshop yields 20 full sized eclairs

 

Lollipops and Crunchie Bars

Duration: 1.5 - 2 Hours

Inspired by our incredibly popular Candy Cane workshop in December, Lollipops and Crunchie Bars will take your team by storm! In this class, our chefs will guide your team through our delicious menu, homemade lollipops and homemade Crunchie bars, YUM! First we will kick things off with our sponge toffee, a light and airy hard caramel treat (also happens to be the centres of the popular Crunchie bar). While it cools and solidifies, the group will prepare their lollipops and tempered chocolate. Last, we will cut and coat the sponge toffee in the chocolate finishing off our homemade Crunchie bars, and workshop as a whole. Candy thermometers are required for this class.

This class yields 20 lollipops and 10 -15 crunchie bars  

Molten Chocolate Lava Cake

Duration: 2 Hours

Rich, decadent and delicious, our molten lava cake class is sure to satisfy your groups sweet tooth. In this class, your chef will guide your group through 3 excellent recipes: a salted caramel sauce, our delicious molten lava cakes, and a maple whipped cream. This class is perfect for a chocolate loving group looking for a challenge. 

 

This class yields 9 lava cakes, 250ml of caramel sauce and whipped cream 

Perfect Pies

Duration: 2 Hours

Cost:

Throw a pie class with us and say goodbye to tough, crumbly, and sticky crusts. Through step-by-step instruction, multiple demonstrations, and support from our chef, participants will learn to make the perfect seasonal pie. During this class, your chef instructors will delve into the science behind gluten development and optimal fats in order to help our students understand how to achieve the perfect crust and filling. In addition to their newfound knowledge, participants will end the class with their own raw pie, recipe and baking instructions for future baking adventures.

Cupcakes

In our cake class, you and your colleagues will learn to make, bake and decorate 12 cupcakes in the flavour of your choice. In the process, they will learn the tricks of the trade for preparing cake, the secrets to the fluffiest buttercream, and chef tips for beautiful decoration. This class is a true treat for all involved!

Cookies

Our cookie party class is a fun and delicious way to learn the art of cookie making, while bringing your team closer together.

During the class, participants will learn how to make, bake and decorate the cookie menu of choice. Throughout the class, their chef will share their tips and tricks to executing the perfect cookie, and share valuable knowledge to keep the participants engaged and learning. Simple, fun and delicious, you can’t go wrong with our cookie class!
