Rooks to Cooks is ready to get back into the kitchen with our March Break Camps this year! We aim to help your child discover and foster a love of cooking, learn new skills, challenge themselves with new recipes, and experiment with foods and flavours. March Break Camps feature brand new recipes inspired by the season and developed to engage your child in a fun, educational and tasty way while they’re outside of the classroom.

Our March Break Camp is offered at two locations:
Location #1: Bathurst & Lawrence
Location #2: Midtown Toronto

March 16th – 20th
Objective: To teach our campers both pastry and cooking skills, along with the culinary theory and knowledge to build their self-confidence both in and out of the kitchen. Upon completing the program, students will be empowered and excited to execute both sweet & savoury recipes at home, and have the skills necessary to help cook dinner.
Looking for a way to keep warm inside during March Break? Get out of the cold and into the kitchen with our March Munchies program! Your chef-in-the-making will learn kitchen safety, fundamental cooking and baking techniques, proper knife skills, diverse cooking methods including how to utilize a wide range of plant-based proteins, and the value of teamwork in the kitchen.
Each day they will prepare delicious and nutritious savoury dishes which will become their lunch, followed by pastry recipes featuring warm and seasonal flavours. If your fanatic foodie has an interest in both the culinary and pastry arts, then this week is the perfect fit. Following their participation, not only will they have gained practical cooking and baking skills and the confidence to apply them at home, they will also leave with an appreciation for vegetarian cuisine, the knowledge on how to work with a wide range of plant-based ingredients and know how to incorporate these alternative proteins at home. March Munchies will be sure to satisfy your craving for brand new recipes and fun in the kitchen for your chef-in-training!
