Our founder Shai Mandel, chef and certified teacher, is putting her teaching training to good use through the development of groundbreaking programs. These courses are inspired by REAL Ontario curriculum guidelines to help your child learn hands-on cooking and baking skills, while socializing with new friends AND secretly applying academic knowledge while schools are closed. Choose fun and delicious courses to engage your children’s minds and their appetites! Don’t miss out, only 8 spots per class! 

Recipes have been carefully selected to ensure ingredients are inexpensive, accessible and are easily substitutable.

All recipes have vegetarian alternatives. Gluten free and vegan alternatives available upon request.

The Breakfast Club, is your child’s ticket to mastering the foundations and preparation of breakfast foods. Eggs shmegs! The Breakfast Club is here to kick your traditional breakfast foods up a notch, educate on the wonderful world of breakfast cookery, and start your child’s day off right. Each week our exclusive Breakfast Club students will come together to learn and prepare new nutritious and delicious sweet and savoury breakfast recipes that will inspire and encourage independence and self-sufficiency. Foods of the World 1.0 – Mondays (Ages 8+)

Our Foods of the World course is designed to teach our students fundamental life and cooking skills while introducing them to new foods and flavours from around the world. Together we will explore 4 different cultures and cuisines, and learn more about the history and geography which has contributed to the recipes they create. While we travel around the world with our recipes, we’ll be using pantry staples and unique blends of ingredients and spices to bring these dishes to life. Together with our chef instructor, your child will expand their global knowledge, engage in discussions about the food we’re making and its origins, and of course take their culinary skills to the next level.

Inspired by our popular YouTube show, The Lunch Club, our newest virtual program Lunch club 1.0 is your child’s ticket to mastering the foundations and preparation of lunch foods! Imagine a world where your child not only prepares lunch for themselves, but you too!! Participating in this program is one step closer to achieving that dream! Each week our exclusive Lunch Club students will come together to learn and prepare new nutritious and delicious lunch recipes that will not only be the talk of the town in the cafeteria, but more importantly will inspire and encourage independence and self-sufficiency. At the end of each class, your child will serve up a gourmet lunch for the entire family, ticking one less chore off your to-do list and empowering your child. What better way to keep them busy, engaged and well fed than with our most innovative and delicious program yet!?

Sweet & Savoury – Tuesdays AND Thursdays (Ages 8+)

This course is two times a week

Can’t decide between a sweet snack or a savoury treat? With our Sweet & Savoury academy program, there’s no need to choose a side. Sweet & Savoury is our twice a week cooking and baking program. Your multi-talented chef-in-training will learn fundamental cooking and baking techniques, proper knife skills, and diverse cooking methods as they prepare a wide variety of both pastry and savoury menu items. Each class we will alternate between sweet and savoury recipes: Tuesdays will be savoury showcasing recipes perfect for both lunch and dinners, while Thursday will satisfy their sweet tooth with 5 star pastry recipes. Over the course of the month, we will prepare over 16 recipes! If your fanatic foodie has an interest in both the culinary and pastry arts, then this is the session for them.

Our founder and CEO, Chef Shai Mandel has been itching to get in on all the virtual fun! After countless requests from previous students, families and friends, she is pleased to offer a new master class, Signature Vegan and Gluten Free Sweets! As a certified teacher and Chef of 12 years, Chef Shai’s classes are hands on fun, yet highly informative. With a family filled with vegans, and parents with intolerances to gluten, Chef Shai has had to master the art of vegan and gluten free baking without sacrificing texture, flavour and taste! This program is designed to open minds, engage, inspire, and instill confidence, helping participants reach their fullest potential in and out of the kitchen. With the increasing prevalence of vegan and gluten free dietary restrictions, this course is your family’s ticket to ensuring you can feed even your most restrictive friends and guests. Brilliant Bakers is our weekly pastry course built for passionate young bakers or baking enthusiasts who want to take their baking to the next level. It is designed to teach our students fundamental life and pastry skills while building confidence and self-sufficiency. Each week we will explore a new pastry recipe and learn the relevant pastry theory and knowledge pertaining to that baked good. This hands-on baking course will not only equip your child with industry tested pastry knowledge and skills, they will also gain real world applications of mathematics, numeracy, reading and writing!
