Is your teen chef-in-the-making passionate about both the culinary AND pastry arts? They just can’t choose a side, nor want to choose a side? Well have no fear, Sweet & Savoury is here! Inspired by our incredibly popular Sweet & Savoury JR. program, Sweet & Savoury SR is hot off the press and ready to WOW! Just like our JR. program, Sweet & Savoury SR. is all about blurring the lines between pastry and cooking, and capitalizing on the benefits of learning both fields. Your multi-talented chef-to-be will learn both cooking and pastry theory and gain experience in both areas. In the mornings, we will prepare 2-3 savoury recipes, focusing on savoury cooking techniques and foundational culinary theory. While in the afternoons, we will change gears and strictly focus on pastry preparation, satisfying their sweet tooth. Sweet & Savoury is the best of both worlds!

 

The recipes prepared in our SR. program are more advanced and best suited for aspiring chefs ages 11-16. Although there are no prerequisites for this program, we do recommend that first time campers and/or beginners practice their knife skills as shown in the Rooks to Cooks safety video, and practice independently reading through and executing recipes to best prepare for the tasks at hand. Regardless, our chefs will be there to help guide and support your aspiring teen chef throughout their time with us.
