ROOKS TO COOKS WINTER BREAK CAMPS

Keep the kiddos busy, engaged, and learning this winter break with our wonderfully delicious virtual winter break camps! Whether you are looking for a full week of fun or a day camp to jazz up their holiday season, Rooks to Cooks has got you covered. 

All programs are conducted LIVE on Zoom by our experienced and passionate chef instructors. Through step-by-step instruction, your chef-to-be will learn valuable life and cooking skills as they cook their way through 5-star menus inspired by the season. While learning and practicing new culinary skills, their chefs will also share industry knowledge and theory promoting a holistic learning environment. Both morning (10:00am – 12:00pm) and afternoon (1:00pm – 3:00pm) sessions are available. 

Zoom links, consolidated shopping lists, recipes, equipment needs, and set up instructions will be sent 1 week before your course. All savoury recipes will yield 4 servings to help with family meal prep!

At Rooks to Cooks we are dedicated to delivering the best experience possible. As such, we maintain a minimum 1:6 chef to student ratio and keep class sizes limited to 12 students to ensure optimal interaction and supervision.

WEEKLY CAMP OPTIONS

HOLIDAY FAVOURITES (4 DAY CAMP) DEC 21 – 24

In Holiday Favourites campers will learn both pastry and culinary knowledge and skills as they prepare a new sweet and savoury holiday favourite each day! Watch as your child’s confidence and enthusiasm in the kitchen soars while they cook their way through this festive roster of dishes. The week will end with a showstopping yule log and Chef Shai’s Signature Cranberry Sauce meant to be served at one of your family’s holiday meals, offering an opportunity for your child to shine while assisting with the meal prep. With temperatures dropping outside, we’re heating things up in the kitchen with Cozy Comforts! Campers will learn both pastry and culinary knowledge and skills as they prepare a new sweet and savoury recipe each day! These recipes are inspired by the seasons, educating our students on the importance of cooking with seasonal ingredients. Savoury dishes conveniently produce 4 full servings, making this camp a fantastic way to get lunch or dinner prepared by your chef-to-be. GINGERBREAD LOVERS

Under the guidance and direction of our passionate and experienced chef instructors, campers will learn to prepare two of our favourite gingerbread recipes: Chef Shai’s Signature Gingerbread Loaf with Orange Frosting, and our Signature Ginger Snap Cookies.

SNOWFLAKE SUGAR COOKIES

Under the guidance and direction of our passionate and experienced chef instructors, campers will learn to make, bake, and decorate rolled sugar cookies using various piping and flooding techniques. Recipes featured are our Signature Rolled Sugar Cookies and Royal Icing

SNOWMAN CAKE POPS
