Our kids summer cooking camps are ideal for children ages 8 and up! Lessons at our kids culinary summer camps are hands-on, team-based and fun! Our GTA and Toronto summer camps are your child’s recipe for success.


Birthday Parties

Let us help you plan a delicious cooking birthday party for your chefs-to-be! Our kids cooking class party is a unique and exciting way to celebrate with friends. Chef birthday parties are educational and fun!

Private Classes

We offer private cooking classes in your home. You can host a personalized in-home cooking class with a group of friends or family members. This interactive group cooking lesson is a fun way to spend time with friends and learn new skills.

If your kids are picky eaters, you should definitely try this class – chef Shai will get them to try anything, and I mean anything! By the end of her class, my child, who would only eat pasta (no sauce), made his own sushi and ate it too!

The summer camp is also great, the pop-up restaurant at the end of the week is awesome. It’s a full scale production and kids have a blast.

About Us


Rooks to Cooks is an innovative culinary school based out of Toronto, Ontario. It was founded by Chef Shai Mandel in 2015 as an extension of her services offered since 2014. Through many of our mobile programs, Rooks to Cooks assures that no matter where you live or how hectic your schedule is, our programs and services will be accessible. Rooks to Cooks was developed to be first and foremost student-centered and flexible. We know that each student is unique with their own learning goals. For this reason, we make sure that any course, class or program offered through Rooks to Cooks accommodates all students and their individual needs. Our mission is simple: we will empower our students to become more independent by building self-confidence and supporting self-expression through culinary education.
